Our Lions Spotlight in this edition of the Blue and White is Mrs. McMillan.

Mrs.McMillan graduated from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY earning a BA in History and Adolescent Education. She then continued her education at Canisius while teaching in order to graduate with a Master’s of Science in Literacy.

This year (2017-2018) is her fourth year of teaching. This is her second year at Red Bank teaching U.S. History. Prior to Red Bank she taught social studies for grades 5-8 at an all girls’ middle school in Buffalo, NY.

In recent news, Mrs.McMillan won a Chattanooga’s Best of the Best award: Chattanooga’s Best Teacher. The Chattanooga’s Best awards are first place awards in a variety of categories and are voted on by the people of Chattanooga.

Mrs.McMillan was both surprised and excited to have received this award. Mrs.McMillan stated, “I feel very blessed that people think that highly of me to vote me for this award. I have the greatest students that make teaching worth while.” Congratulations Mrs.McMillan!
